베트남은 우리의 3대 교역국이자, 1만여 개의 우리 기업이 진출해 있는 핵심 협력국입니다. 특히 지난해 약 450만 명의 우리 국민이 베트남을 방문했고, 한-베트남 다문화 가정도 10만 가구에 이르는 등 매우 친숙하고 가까운 나라이기도 합니다.

어제 열린 르엉 끄엉 베트남 주석과의 정상회담에서는 국방·방산, 인프라, 문화·인적 교류, 초국가적 범죄 대응 등 다양한 분야에서 양국 간 협력을 한층 강화해 나가기로 뜻을 모았습니다.

끄엉 주석은 대한민국의 APEC의 성공적 개최를 높이 평가했으며, 2027년 베트남 푸꾸옥에서 개최될 APEC 역시 차질 없이 진행될 수 있도록 의장국 경험을 공유하며 긴밀히 협력하자고 밝혔습니다.

앞으로도 우리의 끈끈한 우정을 토대로 더욱 다양한 분야에서 폭넓은 협력 관계를 구축해 나가길 기대합니다.

Viet Nam is a key cooperation partner of Korea, as our 3rd largest trading partner, and with around 10,000 Korean companies doing business in Viet Nam.

Last year, around 4.5 million Koreans visited Viet Nam, and there are almost 100,000 Korean-Vietnamese multicultural families, making Viet Nam a country with which we have a very close and friendly relationship.

Yesterday, at the meeting with President Luong Cuong, we agreed to further strengthen our cooperation in various fields including defence and defence industry, infrastructure, culture and people-to-people exchanges, as well as transnational crimes.

President Cuong congratulated Korea's successful hosting of the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, and requested that Korea share its experience as the host economy in cooperating for the success of the APEC meetings to be held in 2027 in Phu Quoc, Viet Nam.
